Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University
The Berkman Center was founded to explore cyberspace, share in its study, and help pioneer its development. The Berkman Center is a network of faculty, students, fellows, entrepreneurs, lawyers, and virtual architects working to identify and engage with the challenges and opportunities of cyberspace.
The Citizen Media Law Project exists to inform anyone who publishes online of their legal rights and responsibilities. The CMLP's legal guide addresses the legal issues one may encounter as information is gathered and published. The guide is intended for use by citizen media creators with or without formal legal training, as well as others with an interest in these issues.
Creative Commons is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright. Creative Commons provides free licenses and other legal tools to mark creative work with the freedom the creator wants it to carry, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof.
Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) was founded in 1990 — well before the Internet was on most people's radar — to defend free speech, privacy, innovation, and consumer rights. The EFF champions the public interest in critical areas affecting digital rights. The EFF is composed of lawyers, policy analysts, activists, and technologists.
Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC)
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) was founded in 1994 as a public interest research center in Washington, D.C. to focus public attention on emerging civil liberties issues and to protect privacy, the First Amendment, and constitutional values. EPIC is a 501-c3 not for profit organization that receives support from individual contributors, private foundations, the sale of publications, and legal awards.

European Network and Information Security Agency
The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) serves EU Institutions and Member States as the EU’s response to security issues of the European Union. As such, it is the lead organization for Information Security in Europe. The ENISA website is the European ‘hub’ for the exchange of information, best practices and knowledge in the field of Information Security.
